Keeping a personal ledger without price calls

21 July 2026

A comparison notebook can hold issue counts and cover names without turning into a forecast. The line between those jobs is the whole point of Panel Field Line.

Paper documents and a pen for keeping a personal comic bundle ledger

Collectors like numbers. Bundle notes attract numbers that do not belong: last sale, floor talk, what a friend paid. Those figures age quickly and they pull the sheet away from contents.

Our desk keeps issue lists, cover maps, reprint flags, and drop windows. If a collector wants to store personal purchase timestamps, the optional record utility can hold those timestamps locally. Compatibility with Binance-style CSV files means only that a date column can be read from an export the collector already has. It does not mean the utility talks to an exchange.

Write the comics first. Leave forecasts out of the same notebook. That split is how comparison notes stay useful after a noisy week on the marketplace.
